Ok so I meant to put something like this up earlier but I kept forgetting so here it is. There's a pdf explaining the various functions and their domains and ranges below. Also I found a nice ppt but it's a bit much so if you want more info here you go: https://academics.utep.edu/Portals/1788/CALCULUS%20MATERIAL/1_6%20PARENT%20FNS.pdf
Now the weird bit of even/odd from first semester makes a lot more sense, huh? Here's a link to the post I made from last semester Basically a function is even if making the independent variable negative doesn't change it.
A function is odd if making the independent variable negative makes the whole function negative. Also even functions are symmetric across the y axis, and odd functions are symmetric across y=x Intro to Quadratic FunctionsSolving Quadratic Functions You can use a variety of ways to solve quadratic functions: Factoring Completing the square Quadratic formula Graphing Quadratic EquationsI found this helpful website. It explains things quite nicely, to go from graph to equation, it's near the bottom of the page
Purplemath has a really nice thing for this. Right under the heading "Systems of Linear Equations" there's a series of links to pages that go through and explain how to solve them using various methods.
Welcome back from break! Semester two in Precal consists of Algebra from what I've heard. Because I remember thinking how helpful the trig cheat sheet was, I decided to put up an algebra one. If you want to download it, the link is at the bottom. Super Massive Cheat Sheet
